Notes when using Avatar

- Copyrights of characters ("Avatars") created by customers using the Avatar feature ("Feature") and of all parts of Avatars belong to LINE Corporation ("Company").

- When customers own copyrights of Avatars, they must assign its copyright (including rights provided for in Articles 27 and 28 of the Copyright Act of Japan) and any other rights gratis to the Company unconditionally. And the customer must not exercise the moral rights and other rights of the Avatar to the Company and/or third parties designated by the Company.

- The Company grants the right to use Avatars to customers within the scope specified by the Company for the use of the Feature.

- When creating Avatars using photographs of others, customers must obtain the permission from the copyright owner before use.

- Commercial use of Avatars is prohibited.

- Use of Avatars to libel and/or defame others is prohibited.

- The Company is not liable in any troubles or disputes occurred between customers as a result of the use of the Feature.

- In addition to sending Avatars through chats and posting Avatars on LINE Timeline, you can also share Avatars with your LINE friends ("LINE friends").

- You can create multiple Avatars and set one Avatar as your main Avatar. If you have multiple Avatars and delete your main Avatar, one of your other Avatars will be set as your main Avatar.

- Note that once you share an Avatar, your LINE friends can use it as-is, or further customize it.

- You can only use your LINE friends' main Avatars ("specific friend's Avatar") as-is if the creator has granted that permission, or if the creator has explicitly agreed to that usage in advance.

- You may make your main Avatar public to your LINE friends.

- If you are using a specific friend's Avatar, you may lose access to that Avatar if the creator deletes the Avatar or blocks you from using it. However, if you already have the specific friend's Avatar appearing in your profile, the Avatar will not be removed from your profile unless you delete it yourself.

- Even if you delete a LINE friend from your LINE account, you will still have access to that friend's shared Avatars. If you no longer wish to see these Avatars, you will need to block them manually through the Feature.

- The Company may take action (e.g. suspending access to the Feature) against any use of the Feature that does not comply with the Avatar Terms and Condition and/or LINE Terms and Conditions of Use.
