LINE VOOM is a video platform that allows users to communicate with one another through their posts. When posting or commenting, please do not engage in any conduct that threatens overall safety or trust, and do be careful not to use expressions considered obscene.
LINE Yahoo Japan Corporation (hereinafter, "the Company") has established the LINE VOOM Community Rules (hereinafter, "Community Rules") to ensure that all users can utilize the service with peace of mind, and will strive to maintain a healthy space for communication.
These Community Rules define the prohibited content and actions regarding posts and comments. Please agree to the Community Rules before using this service.
If it is determined that a post violates the Community Rules, we will take appropriate action, such as deleting the post, prohibiting the user from posting on LINE VOOM, or expelling them from our platform. For further details, please see "Procedures for Violations." Depending on the content, you may even be charged with a crime. If you notice any violations, please let us know via the report feature in the app.
Prohibitions
The activities that are prohibited on LINE VOOM are listed below. Please note that these are only examples of prohibited activities and postings; they are not intended to limit the scope of a posting.
Publication of personal information, etc.
You are prohibited from posting any information that could identify an individual, including yourself or anyone else.
Examples of information that may identify an individual are listed, but not limited to, those shown below. They broadly include information that is deemed able to easily identify an individual by matching it with other information.
However, if you have any concerns in regard to the names or affiliations of celebrities, please refer to trusted news sources. These prohibitions may not apply to information that is publicly available, based on official information, etc.
In addition, when uploading an image or video, please be careful to not reveal any personal information.
If you post information about yourself, please ensure that your personal information is not included with the photo.
Any acts of collecting information that fall under the above examples are also prohibited.

Defamation or excessive criticism
Any defamatory or harsh language directed at a specific individual or other person that may cause offense, or expressions that cause revulsion, or posts that use images to negatively impact an individual's self-esteem or violate their dignity are prohibited. In addition, if the target is a celebrity, a company, or an organization, even if the text is redacted, it may be deemed to fall under the above prohibitions.

・Posts that attempt to lower the social standing of a specific individual by pointing out certain facts.
・Posts that use harsh language or criticize people's character.
・Abusive posts.
・Persistent stalking or posts that provoke others.
・Posts that make fun of other people's illness, medical history, or appearance.
・Posts aimed at public shaming or exposing others.
・Posts making fun of other people's appearance.
Discriminatory remarks or hate speech
We prohibit posts that constitute discrimination or hate speech against a specific race or ethnicity, country or region, family origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, illness, disability, occupation, religion or faith, or any other act that incites such discrimination.
Posts that rank people based on race or ethnicity, or that label them as inferior in intelligence or barbaric, as well as posts that seek to expel people from society or harm them without reasonable justification, simply because they come from a particular country or are its descendants, are prohibited.

・"Expressions that make unfounded assumptions, such as "all ___ people are criminals."
・Information focusing on Buraku/Dowa districts (excluding for academic and research purposes, etc.)
Violation of intellectual property rights, privacy rights, portrait rights, etc.
Any actions that infringe upon the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, portrait rights, or other rights held by third parties without a legitimate reason, such as posting or using the copyrighted material, trademarks, or portraits of third parties without permission, are prohibited.
You may only upload images, videos, audio, music, text, or other copyrighted material that you have created yourself, or have a legitimate reason or permission to do so. In addition, please refrain from publishing other people's photos without permission.
Note: Simply stating or crediting the source does not mean that permission has been granted.
Videos that are allowed to be posted within certain limits, such as games, images and more, or use cases and copyright-free materials. When using such services, please follow the guidelines of the concerned company.

・Posts containing private facts that the person does not wish to be disclosed, or information that may be perceived as private, or information that is not yet publicly known.
・Posting photos of people's faces without their permission.
・Content of printed materials or websites created by others.
・Posts that may infringe intellectual property rights or other rights, such as copyright law violations.

Posts threatening suicide or posting messages about suicide, self-harm, harm to others, etc. are prohibited.
Posts about suicide, self-harm, or harm to people or property are prohibited. Any actions that publicize or suggest dangerous acts, suggest or provide instructions for such acts, or recruit participants, are prohibited.
In addition, any actions that are deemed to have the potential to encourage or induce such acts are prohibited.

・Threatening harm to others.
Posting videos or images of child pornography or that may be considered child pornography.
Any images or videos, whether real or fictional, deemed to sexually depict or sexually exploit children under the age of 18, or sexual acts involving such children, or images or videos that directly recall or suggest sexual acts, are prohibited.
Posting obscene adult content, violent content, or other content that the general public finds offensive.
Posting obscene, violent, or bizarre images, videos, or expressions that include content that may be considered offensive by the general public, such as extreme depictions or animal cruelty, is prohibited.

・Sexual acts, direct recollection of sexual acts, or obscene, suggestive content.
・Nudity, images showing significant skin exposure, etc. (image posting services).
・Posts related to adult businesses and restaurants offering adult entertainment.
・Posting adult-oriented content.
・Brutal or bizarre expressions.
・Grotesque expressions.
・Content or expressions that directly or indirectly imply animal cruelty.
・Disgusting insects (cockroaches, centipedes, etc.)
・Dangerous physical acts or expressions that may cause physical or mental discomfort, such as psychologically painful punishment games or pranks.
・Actions or expressions intended to shock.
Activities aimed at meeting people
Posts intended to meet or date people you do not know are prohibited. Additionally, any actions with the purpose of arranging encounters, such as introducing strangers to each other, are also prohibited.

・Posts that seek relationships, meeting people, or engage in sexual activity.
・Posts inviting people to stay overnight or live with others.
・Posts for the purpose of meeting LINE Groups, which include the URL of LINE meetings, etc.
・Dating apps that direct people to dating apps/ pseudo-dating services, etc.
・Posts soliciting encounters.
Any act that violates or may violate laws and regulations.
Posting any content that may constitute a violation of laws and regulations (including criminal offenses) is prohibited. Any posting with the purpose of inducing or encouraging the violation of laws or regulations, or that may lead to such violation, is also prohibited.

・Posts that encourage or solicit the commission of drug-related crimes or the abuse of controlled substances.
・Posts describing how to make explosives or guns.
・Posts confessing to crimes.

Obvious misinformation
We may delete posts that are clearly untrue and may cause social confusion, or posts that contain false information that may pose health hazards or other problems, and are clearly contrary to the truth.
The same goes for any attempt to spread or share these posts as if they were fact.

・Posts announcing false political events.
・Apparently fictitious symptoms of diseases and medical effects, or posts that wrongly answer questions about side effects as scientific fact.
Disseminating false information about disasters.
When natural disasters such as major earthquakes or floods occur, people's confusion and anxiety can be exploited by spreading inaccurate rumors and information (hoaxes), which can lead to rampant fraud. Please be sure to check the information provided by public institutions, media outlets, etc. and post with due caution.
Please note that posts related to natural disasters that are determined to be counter-factual through fact-checking may be deleted.

・Posts about false, large-scale disasters.
Impersonation
Impersonating any person or organization other than the user themself, or misleading users into believing that they have a relationship with such a person or organization, is prohibited.
However, this does not include cases where it is unlikely that users would mistakenly believe the post was made by a historical figure or other such person.

・Impersonating someone else, or using their display name, description, or profile picture. Setting the account to something that closely resembles an organization, etc.
・Misrepresenting your identity or profile in your profile display name, description, profile picture, or posted comments.
Actions that may pose a cybersecurity risk.
Destroying the functionality of a server or network by placing a heavy load on the system or probing for vulnerabilities. Anything that may cause disruption, hinder service operations, or cause security or other damage to users.
Specific examples include, but are not limited to, the following:

・Posting or directing users to malicious website URLs.
・Actions that disrupt or impair servers or network functions by repeatedly posting large volumes of content or repeatedly pressing buttons, etc.
・Exploiting system vulnerabilities
Disruption of service operations (trolling, spamming).
Exchange of opinions between users. Any conduct that may hinder the proper operation of a service, such as making interaction significantly more difficult, or having that purpose, is prohibited.
Specific examples include, but are not limited to, the following:

・Posting the same content in multiple threads.
・Duplicate posting of the same or nearly identical content.
・Nonsense characters or posting symbols that are too long or that cause display problems.
・Posts that contain a lot of obscure words or slang that makes it difficult to convey the intention.
Gift giving
With the exception of posts where the poster's identity is clear, the posting is clearly not illegal, and we determine that it will not hinder healthy communication on LINE VOOM, we prohibit any monetary inducements, including the provision of money or monetary value such as points, gift cards, or electronic money.
Prohibited commercial advertising posts
With the exception of posts where the poster's identity is clear, they are clearly not illegal, and we determine that they do not hinder healthy communication on LINE VOOM, using LINE VOOM for commercial or advertising purposes is prohibited.

・Any act that constitutes an unfair representation, misleading representation of quality, or misleading representation of benefits under the Act on Premiums and Representations.
・Any act that constitutes misleading advertising in specific commercial transactions.
・Informational products or sale of skills development materials.
・Posts that make real money trades.
・Buying and selling social media accounts.
・Posts that involve multi-level marketing or pseudo-multi-level marketing networking businesses.
Posting socially questionable acts or references in order to increase the number of views.
Posts that involve dangerous activities or challenges, as well as any actions or expressions that encourage such activities, are prohibited. When taking photos, please make sure that you are not in a photography-prohibited area.
Please be considerate of those around you and take care to ensure that your photography and photography-related activities do not cause any inconvenience to others.

・"I tried to see how many times I could successfully complete the ping pong dash in a row."
・"I tried climbing to the top of the Great Buddha."
・"If I get 100 million likes, I'll dance naked in the street in front of the entrance to XXXX company."
Soliciting posts that violate the Community Rules or direct users to malicious pages.
Posts that solicit posts from other users that violate any of the above items, or posts intended to direct users to external web pages that contain content that violates any of the above items, are prohibited. Please note that any posts that fall under the above categories will be subject to deletion as a violation of the corresponding items. Any act that causes disadvantage to our company. It is prohibited to impersonate an official account operated by our company or our group of companies, or to intentionally spread false information about our services. Additionally, any behavior that may cause inconvenience to LINE users is also prohibited.

・Transferring or lending LINE account usage rights, etc.

・Spreading or repeating rumors about our company or our services.
・Actions such as disrupting LINE groups, intentionally putting a strain on another person's LINE post/ account, or making it impossible to use LINE normally, or using unofficial macros or tools to perform such actions.
・Announcement of gifts for general users.
┗"If you become my friend, I'll give you some LINE stamps."
・Third party giveaway announcements.
┗"If you become friends with this person, you'll get a gift."
・Any other actions that the Company deems inappropriate.

In addition to the items listed above, we may take necessary measures, such as deleting posts or suspending use of the service, in regard to posts that, according to social standards, other people or other users find offensive or bothersome, or posts that are inconsistent with the purposes of the service.
Handling of profile pictures and display names
The above items also apply to the display name, introduction text, profile picture, etc. that users can optionally set.
Please note that if any violation of any item is determined, it will be subject to measures such as deletion.
Procedures for violations
Deletion of posts, suspension of posts, etc.
Posts that are determined to violate any of the prohibited items (*) are subject to deletion. LINE accounts that are found to have violated any of the prohibited actions multiple times, or have committed serious violations, may be banned from posting on LINE VOOM, have their access to LINE VOOM restricted, and may also have restrictions placed on reactions and comments. When a post is deleted, any comments or replies to the deleted post will also be deleted according to specifications, even if they do not violate any of the prohibited regulations. If your LINE account is suspended or deleted, all of your past posts will be deleted due to the account's specifications.
*Posts refer to short videos, images, text posts, comment posts, and story posts.
Posts on LINE official account
If a post made using LINE Official Account is deemed to violate the Community Rules, the post may be deleted and use of LINE Official Account may be suspended. In addition, if your official LINE account is suspended, all previous posts will be deleted according to the account specifications.
About automatic deletion by AI
LINE VOOM automatically deletes images. Specifically, in addition to automatic deletion using image filters (which use AI to detect and classify image characteristics and automatically delete posts that contain images or videos that are likely to be in violation), posts will also be automatically deleted if they contain words or expressions that violate the above criteria.
Text messages are also automatically deleted. Specifically, in addition to automatically deleting posts using the spam keyword filter (which automatically deletes posts containing keywords that are likely to violate the rules), words that violate the above items will be deleted. We also automatically delete posts that contain words or expressions that violate the above criteria.
Request for disclosure of caller information, reporting to the police, etc.
If we receive a request for disclosure of sender information from someone who claims that their rights have been infringed, we may disclose the information pursuant to legal procedures. In addition, if there are any comments that may be criminal, defamatory, insulting, damaging to credit, or disruptive of business, we may report them to the police.
Appealing measures
If you believe that the deletion of a post, the suspension of posting, or the suspension of your LINE Official Account (*) was inappropriate, please contact customer support via the objection form.
(*) This only applies when a post made on LINE VOOM using LINE official account is deemed to violate the Community Rules and action is taken.
